✨ Double Angled Gatefold Card Tutorial ✨

Today’s card is a fun fold—it's a double angled gatefold card. We’ll be using the Fern and Flora Bundle along with the Moonlight Flora Designer Series Paper.

Card Base

Start with Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut to 11" x 5 1/2".
Score at 3 3/8" from each end.

Next, on each end:

  • From the top right and top left corners, measure down 1 1/2" and make a mark.

  • From the bottom left and bottom right corners, measure in 1" and make a mark.

Now for the cuts:

  • Cut from the right score line to the 1 1/2" mark.

  • Then cut from the 1 1/2" mark down to the 1" mark.

  • Repeat the same steps on the left side.

Additional Cardstock Pieces

  • Soft Sea Foam: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

  • Soft Sea Foam (belly band): 9 1/2" x 1 1/2"

  • Old Olive: 4" x 5 1/4"

  • Basic White (label): 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"

  • Peaceful Pine: 1 1/2" x 3" (for a fern die cut)

  • Old Olive: 1 1/2" x 4" (for a second fern)

  • Berry Burst: 1" x 2 1/2" (for the fiddlehead)

Designer Series Paper

  • 4" x 1 1/4" (for the belly band)

  • Two pieces at 3 1/8" x 5 1/4"

For the angled cuts:

  • On one piece (left panel):

    • Measure down 1 1/2" from the top left edge.

    • Measure in 1" from the bottom left corner.

    • Cut to match the angle of the card base.

  • On the second piece (right panel):

    • Measure down 1 1/2" from the top right edge.

    • Measure in 1" from the bottom right corner.

    • Cut to match the card base.

Adhere these pieces to the front panels.

Tip: Be sure to save all the triangle pieces from your Designer Series Paper—we’ll use them to decorate the inside of the card!

One Sheet Wonder with the 2024-2026 In Colors

Hello stamping friends. I am back today sharing the cards we made in my May card class. I do an in-person class once a month and they usually make 3 different cards. For May I had a request to do a One Sheet Wonder so I used the 2024-2026 In Color designer paper and had them request a color with their RSVP. I did the die cutting for them to save on time and I show you in the video how I packaged them up. I also had two samples made up so that each table had a set of 4 to work off of. It ran really smooth and they were done with their cards in about 2 hours. I made a template for each stamper and asked them to bring their paper trimmers as they cut their own designer paper. I have that template for you as well.

I have the measurements for each card below along with a picture of four of the colors. I used Shy Shamrock, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop. (sorry Summer Splash, I didn't have an extra kit for this color).

Hello stamping friends.  My share today comes to you from the annual catalog.  I love the stamp set To A Wild Rose and decided to dig it out today.  I don't use Cinnamon Cider often and thought I should create with it as well.  I have paired it with Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.  I must say I am very pleased with how it turned out.  Below I have listed the measurements and instructions for you.

  12. Tie a tiny bow with the Cinnamon Cider ribbon and attach to the greeting layer.
  13. Randomly add a few Cinnamon Cider enamel dots.

Prized Peony meets Beautiful Autumn

Howdy stamping friends.  I have a new card for you today showcasing the Prized Peony and Beautiful Autumn stamp sets.  I sponged a piece of shimmery white paper with Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Soft Seafoam.  After I blended the colors together I wiped it off with a paper towel  I then stamped the peonies and leaves in versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  The Soft Seafoam layer is the new velveteen paper, embossed with the Ornate Floral folder.  See below for all the measurements, instructions and shopping list.

Measurements:
Thick Whisper White: 4¼ x 11 scored at 5½ for card base
Pretty Peacock: 4 x 5¼
Soft Seafoam Velveteen: 3¾ x 5, embossed with Ornate Floral
Shimmery White: 1¾ x 5
Ribbon: 4½ and 8"

Instructions:

  1. Using the smallest label from Hippo & Friends dies, cut from center of Pretty Peacock layer.
  2. Adhere embossed velveteen layer to Pretty Peacock layer.
  3. With Stampin' Sponges, sponge Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Soft Seafoam onto the Shimmery White layer.  Wipe with a paper towel.  If you have an embossing buddy you can wipe it over this layer as well.
  4. With VersaMark ink randomly stamp the middle sized peony and one of the leaves all over your sponged layer.  Heat emboss with white powder.  Let cool and adhere to velveteen layer.
  5. Wrap the 4½ piece of ribbon around all of the layers and adhere to back with glue dots.  Adhere these layers to card base.
  6. Tie a bow with the 8" piece of ribbon and adhere to card front with glue dots.
  7. Randomly stamp the little outline leaf image from Beautiful Autumn onto the Pretty Peacock label in Pretty Peacock ink.  Make sure ink is dry (you can wipe the embossing buddy over it if you have one).  Stamp greeting in VersaMark ink in the center of the label and heat emboss with white powder.  Adhere to card front with mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
  8. For the inside stamp the smallest peony in Shaded Spruce, the sentiment in Pretty Peacock and the little square images in Soft Seafoam.
  9. Add a peony to the envelope with Shaded Spruce ink.

Honey Bee Buckle Card

Hello my stamping friends.  I have a cute buckle card to share with you today using products from the new 2020 Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates catalog items with the free products that we can earn.  With each $50 (before tax and shipping) you can choose a free product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  There are no limits on the number you can earn.  My card today uses the stamp set Honey Bee from the mini catalog and the designer series paper Golden Honey from Sale-A-Bration.  Below I have all of the measurements and instructions for you.

Measurements:

Basic Black: 8¾ x 4¼ scored at 5½; 8½ x 3 scored at 4¼
Gold Foil: 4½ x 3¼; 2½ x 5
Whisper White: 4 x 2¾, 3 x 1¾
Designer Series Paper: 4 x 2¾; 4 x 3

Instructions:
  1. Fold both Basic Black layers on the score lines.  The larger layer is the card base and opens from the right.  Adhere the 4 x 3 designer series paper to the front panel.
  2. With the Classic Label punch we are going to make a vertical slot.  Push the punch all the way into the card front panel, lining the edge of the punch up with the edge of the designer series paper.  Slide the punch and line up with the opposite edge of the designer series paper and punch again.  Make sure you push the punch all the way in for both punches.
  3. Adhere the smaller layer of Basic Black to the largest Gold Foil layer.  Adhere to inside card, opening from the left.
  4. Stamp two small bees with Memento Black ink onto the Whisper White layer then adhere inside the smaller Basic Black layer.
  5. Adhere the 4 x 2¾ designer series paper to the front of the smaller Basic Black layer.
  6. Tuck the edge of the smaller Basic Black into the slot to close the card.
  7. Stamp the greeting with Memento Black ink onto the 3 x 1¼ Whisper White layer and cut with the smaller label die from Painted Labels.  Make sure the greeting is more to the right when cutting.
  8. Cut the large detailed bee out of the gold foil, leaving room to punch the Label Me Lovely punch.
  9. Adhere the gold label to card front.  Add the greeting layer with dimensionals and then the detailed bee with liquid glue.
