Delightful Decorations

I tried my hand today using the ColorThrowDown challenge. The colors are Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red and Certainly Celery. I used the movers and shapers ornament with the big shot for the background ornament and the ornament punch for the stamped images. I added a little dazzling diamonds to each ornament and topped them off with 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta ribbon. The certainly celery was embossed using the Finial Press embossing folder. Thanks for looking, enjoy your Thursday!

French Foliage

My upline, France, showed us this card last week so I had to do a CASE. This is made with just one piece of card stock and no other paper. The rest of the image is all ink. I did use the faux tearing technique for the torn edges but I don't remember what the other technique is called but you sponge your cardstock with various colors, then stamp your images in versa mark ink and emboss with clear powder. Then you cover the entire inked area with a darker color and then wipe with a paper towel. The embossed images hold the original color and the rest gets covered with the dark color. My colors are Garden Green, More Mustard and Cajun Craze. I used Very Vanilla card stock and my stamp sets are On Your Birthday and French Foliage. Thanks for stopping by and a big thanks to France to keep my mind going!

Awash With Flowers

I tried a new sketch challenge that I have not participated in before. They are called Cute Card Thursday. I knew I wanted to use Elegant Soiree dsp and the print on it looks like Awash With Flowers stamp set. The cs colors that I used are Very Vanilla and Basic Gray. The ink colors are Basic Gray, Soft Suede and Baja Breeze. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your week.

Countryside

I decided to use the mojomonday sketch for this birthday card. I just got my Countryside stamp set and wanted to try stamping in bleach and then embossing with craft chocolate chip and clear embossing powder. It's hard to see in the picture, but I am happy with how it turned out. My supplies include:
cs: Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler
dsp: Newsprint
ink: craft chocolate chip, basic black
ss: On My Birthday and Countryside
accessories: black brads, household bleach, stamp-a-ma-jig

Have a fantastic Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by.

I called my girlfriend, France, tonight because I could not get my mojo going. We started brainstorming on different cards and this is what I came up with. I used the sketch for mojomonday (to get my mojo on). My supplies include:

Primary Colors kit

This is a retired scrapbook kit from Stampin Up! called Primary Colors. I just love their kits they are so quick and easy. This was the fastest 8 pages I have done in a long time. That cute little guy in the pictures is my grandson, Jaxen. I just adore him. I hope your weekend was good. Thanks for stopping by.

Season of Joy

My girlfriend, France, called me tonight bragging that she had already done her Stamping 411 card so I had to post mine tonight as well. To see the sketch visit Stamping411. Their sketches are always fun to try. For this card I used the stamp set Season of Joy. Card stock is Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla. The DSP is Deck The Halls. I love this particular piece of paper. Maybe it has something to do with my name. I used Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke ink. The ribbon is actually Kraft, but I think it blends in well with crumb cake. Enjoy your weekend, I hope it is a long one for you like it is for me.

Autumn Splendor

It's been so long since I participated in the sketch challenge for Stamping411 but I got my card done early enough this week to post. I used Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla and Ruby Red (retired) card stock. My stamp set is Autumn Splendor which I used the rock and roll technique on with Ruby Red (ret.), Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke and More Mustard. I added a little glue and dazzling diamonds to the leaves and topped it off with some of the crocheted lace ribbon. The dsp is Autumn Traditions (which is also retired). Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

Wicked Halloween

Hi, thanks for stopping by. I finally finished my Halloween cards, thanks to France for the idea. For this card I used basic black, elegant eggplant kiwi kiss and whisper white. The stamp set is Wicked Cool. I embossed the eggplant with the polka dot folder and then used Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink on page 195. Very time consuming but I like the affect. I am trying to get better at decorating the inside of my cards so a few punched bats finish it off. Have a great week.

Fifth Avenue Floral

I made this card for my sister's birthday last month. I CASEd this from France Martin, changing up the colors. I used basic black, whisper white and cherry cobbler - my new favorite color. I stamped the image with versa mark and then embossed with black embossing powder. I bleached out some of the petals by putting bleach in my aqua pen, then added some glue and dazzling diamonds glitter. The new crocheted lace ribbon and an antique brad finish it off. Enjoy your week and thanks for stopping by.
