Awesomely Artistic

Hello, Happy Monday!  My share today is another quick easy card that I think turned out great and I love it.  I started with a Whisper White card base.  My next layer is Wisteria Wonder stamped in Craft White with the Writing Notes background stamp.  Once I let the ink dry, I stamped Awesomely Artistic in archival black ink in the lower right corner.  Then a layer of vellum just a touch bigger than my swirly scribble.  I used the small scribble and cut it from Whisper White and layered on top of the vellum.  I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and then the coordinating Duet Banner Punch for my sentiment.  I stamped on black cardstock with Craft White ink.  To finish it off I added some silver sequins.  That's all for today, thanks for stopping by.

Swirly Bird

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share today is a really quick easy card.  I used the Swirly Bird stamp set along with the coordinating thinlits, Swirly Scribbles.  My card base is Soft Sky and then I embossed another layer of Soft Sky with the Lucky Stars folder.  I only embossed the top half of the layer because I wanted the bottom half to look like water.  My sun was stamped with Daffodil Delight with a "scribble" cut out of the same color.  My little boat was stamped with Dapper Denim and Watermelon Wonder.  I fussy cut the boat and sails as one piece and adhered with dimensionals.  The water was cut using the wave thinlit from Night of Navy.  The sentiments come from the May Paper Pumpkin.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Touches of texture

Hello, welcome back.  My share today is a card I made for my up coming card buffet.  I have never hosted one before, so I hope it goes smoothly and that I have people show up. LOL.  Touches of Texture did not make my first list and then even after I got it, I wasn't sure I would use it.  Well, can I say, I love how this card turned out, and it was so simple.

My card recipe is:

Card base -  Very Vanilla 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Dapper Denim - 5 1/4 X 4
Very Vanilla - 5 X 3 3/4

I stamped the flower and dragonfly on the Very Vanilla piece with Always Artichoke using the Touches of Texture stamp set. I then used Dapper Denim for the petals an in hindsight, I think I should have stamped off first (like I did on the inside).  The greeting is from Better Together and stamped in Dapper Denim.  The background stamping is from Touches of Texture as well.  For the border I stamped in Sahara Sand and then used Crumb Cake on the splatter.  I used a blender pen and Delightful Dijon ink to color the dragonfly.  A little of the new burlap ribbon and some gold thread finish it off.  Listed below are all of the supplies used on today's project.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

You've got this

Hello, welcome to my blog.  How sweet is my little package above.  My granddaughter was into everything so we put her in a Stampin' Up! box.  She is so adorable.

My share today is a card and bag I made for my friend's birthday.  Can I say, I love, love, love the new Sweet Sugarplum and it paired nicely with Rich Razzelberry.  I started with a Whisper White card base, then layered Sweet Sugarplum on top of it.  Another layer of Whisper White, stamped with Timeless Textures in Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry ink.  I then added a little strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock embossed the Boho Chic folder.  I cut a layer of Sweet Sugarplum with the Lots of Labels framelits, and then cut a smaller one of whisper white.  On the white layer I stamped my flower from You've Got This stamp set in archival black ink.  I used my blender pens to color the flower with Sweet Sugarplum.  I used Emerald Envy for the stem.  Once it was all colored, I colored it with clear wink of stella.  I love all the sparkle this adds to a project.  The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners set and punched with the coordinating punch, Duet Banner Punch.  You can buy these two together as a bundle and save 10%.  I will have all of the products I used listed below.  I made the bag with the Gift Bag Punch Board and before I scored it, I stamped it all over with the Awesomely Artistic stamp set.  Both the bag and ink are Sweet Sugarplum and tied it closed with the new Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon.  I love how everything matches with Stampin' Up!.  It makes creating so much easier.  Well, that's all for today.  Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it.

Marquee Messages

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  I just want to thank all of you for popping over to my blog yesterday and showing me love.  I really appreciate it.  Thank you France for doing that for me.  If you would like to follow my blog posts, you can put your email address in the "Follow by Email" box located on the left hand side of my blog, just after the Join my Team section.

My share today is for an up coming class.  They requested a shaker card so I thought the Marquee Messages would be perfect for this.  I haven't made very many shaker cards, so I was a little challenged, but pleased with how it turned out.

Here's my recipe:
Card Base - Dapper Denim - 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 5 1/2
Real Red - 3 3/4 X 4 1/4
Whisper White - 3 1/2 X 4 & 2 1/4 X 2 1/4
Tangerine Tango - 3 X 3
Window Sheet 2 X 2

I used the Playful Backgrounds stamp set to stamp on the card base with Dapper Denim.  I then layered the Real Red in the middle.  On the smaller whisper white piece I stamped the "It's Your" words from the Marquee Messages stamp set with Dapper Denim.  On the larger whisper white piece, I stamped the Marquee with Archival Black ink.  I used the Layering Squares framelits to cut out a window from my stamped marquee.  I lined the framelit up against the lines coming down the left side and made sure that I cut off part of the arrow.  I colored the lines on the left with Emerald Envy as well as the layer behind my Birthday banner.  The stars were colored with Daffodil Delight and then some gold wink of stella was added.  Birthday was stamped in Dapper Denim.  I was then ready to assemble my shaker.  I used glue dots on my window sheet and put it on the back of my stamped marquee.  I added foam adhesive strips on the back of the window sheet, making sure I did not have any openings.  I put my metallic sequin assortment confetti in a pile on top of my small square stamped with "It's Your" on it.  I then was able to put my stamped marquee over that making sure I got it centered in my window.  I then used more foam adhesive strips in the corners and sides of my marquee so that it was popped up as much as my window was.  My final step was to stamp just the arrow onto a piece of Tangerine Tango with archival black ink.  I fussy cut this out and then glued it in place on top of my marquee sign.  I colored the "lights" with Tangerine Tango and then added some clear wink of stella to each.  Thanks again for stopping by!
