Elegant Bloom Boutique Birthday Card

Today’s card is all about elegance with a soft, golden touch. I used the beautiful Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper paired with Golden Glow accents to create a stunning happy birthday card that feels both classic and fresh.

Supplies Used

  • Golden Glow Cardstock
  • Basic White Cardstock
  • Gold Foil Sheets
  • Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder
  • Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Boutique Blossoms Bundle
  • Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set
  • 2026–2028 In-Color Dots
  • Golden Glow Ink
  • Blending Brush

Measurements

  • Golden Glow Card Base: 8 ½" x 5 ½", scored at 4 ¼"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 ¼" (2 pieces – one embossed)
  • Gold Foil Squares: 2 ¼" x 2 ¼" (3 pieces, cut with 3rd largest Stylish Shapes square)
  • Designer Series Paper: 1 ¾" x 1 ¾" (3 pieces, cut with 4th largest Stylish Shapes square)
  • Gold Foil (Leaves): 2 ¼" x 1 ¾"
  • Scrap Basic White: for flowers (1 large, 2 small)

Instructions

Start by adhering your embossed Basic White layer to the front of your Golden Glow card base. The Eyelet embossing adds such a soft, elegant texture that really sets the tone for the whole card.

Next, layer each piece of Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper onto the gold foil squares. Once assembled, arrange and adhere the three squares onto the card front.

Using a blending brush, softly sponge Golden Glow ink onto your die-cut flowers. This adds dimension and warmth without overpowering the delicate look.

Adhere the flowers to the front of the card. Add the In-Color dots to the centers of the two smaller flowers, and tuck the gold foil leaves underneath for a beautiful layered effect.

Finishing Touches

For the inside, lightly sponge Golden Glow ink in the center of your Basic White panel. Stamp your Happy Birthday sentiment in full-strength Golden Glow ink. Add the floral outline image in full strength, then stamp the inner floral detail using stamped-off ink for a softer look.

Don’t forget your envelope! Lightly sponge it to coordinate and add a couple of stamped flowers for that extra special touch.

This card is perfect for when you want something elegant but still quick to put together. The gold accents combined with the soft florals make it truly stand out.

💜 Monochromatic Card with the Heirloom Boutique Bundle

Today I’m sharing a beautiful monochromatic card featuring the Heirloom Boutique Bundle and the stunning Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper.

Monochromatic cards are one of my favorite styles because they look elegant and put the focus on texture, layers, and subtle color variation—and this card does exactly that!

By combining embossing, blending, and soft shimmer, this design comes together in a simple but sophisticated way.

✂️ Card Measurements

Here are all the measurements you’ll need to recreate this card:

  • Thick Basic White (card base): 4 ¼" x 11", scored at 5 ½"

  • Hydrangea Hue (embossed layer): 4" x 5 ¼"

    • Emboss with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder

  • Hydrangea Hue layer: 2 ½" x 3 ¼"

  • Basic White layer: 2 ¼" x 3"

  • Bloom Boutique DSP: 3" x 3", cut diagonally

  • Basic White (stamping layer): 2 ½" x 3"

🧰 Supplies Used

  • Heirloom Boutique Bundle

  • Phrases and Frames Stamp Set

  • Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper

  • Floral Spray Embossing Folder

  • Peaceful Pine Ink

  • Hydrangea Hue Ink

  • Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends

  • Hydrangea Hue Stampin’ Blends

  • Golden Glow Shimmer Brush

🎨 Let’s Talk Design

This card really highlights how impactful a single color palette can be. The Hydrangea Hue layers create a soft, cohesive base, while the embossed background adds depth and interest.

The diagonally cut designer paper brings in pattern without overwhelming the design, and the stamped focal image ties everything together beautifully.

To finish it off, I added a touch of sparkle with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush—just enough to catch the light and elevate the entire card.

  • Hydrangea Hue: 2¾" x 3½" (die cut)

  • Ribbon: approx. 6½" and 5"

🎨 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create the Background

  • Using alcohol markers (light Secret Sea, dark Hydrangea Hue, light Mossy Meadow), randomly color one side of the vellum.

  • Spritz with rubbing alcohol.

  • Move the color around using:

    • A heat tool or

    • A drinking straw (such a fun technique!)

👉 Let dry (it will curl—place a tool on top to help flatten slightly).

2. Adhere the Vellum

  • Choose the side you want facing up.

  • Flip over and apply liquid glue lightly using a silicone mat and brush.

  • Adhere to the 5" x 3¾" Basic White layer.

3. Build the Card Front

  • Attach layered vellum panel to Secret Sea cardstock.

  • Wrap ribbon around and secure.

  • Adhere to card base.

  • Tie a knot around the ribbon with the other piece of ribbon

4. Create the Focal Point

  • Die cut scalloped shapes from:

    • Secret Sea (label base)

    • Hydrangea Hue (frame)

    • Vellum (oval)

  • Stamp greeting on vellum with VersaMark.

  • Heat emboss with copper embossing powder.

  • Layer:

    • Hydrangea Hue frame onto Secret Sea label

    • Embossed vellum oval in center

5. Add Embellishments

  • Fussy cut floral images from Delicate Dreams Designer Paper.

  • Arrange into a cluster on the card front.

  • Add adhesive-backed metallic gems for sparkle ✨

6. Finish the Inside

  • Stamp floral image in Crumb Cake.

  • Add sentiment in Secret Sea ink.

💡 Don’t forget to stamp your envelope to match!

💡 Tips for Success

  • Use light layers of alcohol—you can always add more!

  • Vellum is delicate—apply glue sparingly to avoid showing through.

  • Each background will be unique—embrace the variation!

Diagonal Gate Flip Fold Card Tutorial | Easy Fun Fold Card

Today I have a fun fold card for you! I’m calling this one a Diagonal Gate Flip Fold Card. It may sound complicated, but I promise—it’s really easy to put together and so much fun to make! I first saw this fold at my team meeting with France Martin.

In the video, I’ll walk you through how to create this unique fold, assemble the card bases, and add a beautiful focal point with a ribbon closure.

Supplies Used:

  • Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set

  • Heirloom Boutique Bundle

  • Strawberry Slush Cardstock

  • Basic White Cardstock

  • Strawberry Slush Ribbon

  • Strawberry Slush Alcohol Markers

  • Lemon Lime Twist Alcohol Markers

  • Daffodil Delight Alcohol Markers

  • Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper

Measurements:

  • Strawberry Slush: (2) pieces 10" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2"

  • Strawberry Slush: 3" x 3" (cut with largest Stylish Shapes square)

  • Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3" (for stamping)

  • Basic White: 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (cut with second largest Stylish Shapes die)

  • Basic White: 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" (inside layer)

  • Mixed Up Patterns DSP: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" (cut diagonally)

On both card bases, find the smaller panel. Measure 4" from the edge and mark it. Then score diagonally from that mark to the outer corner.
