Today I have a fun fold card for you! I’m calling this one a Diagonal Gate Flip Fold Card. It may sound complicated, but I promise—it’s really easy to put together and so much fun to make! I first saw this fold at my team meeting with France Martin.
In the video, I’ll walk you through how to create this unique fold, assemble the card bases, and add a beautiful focal point with a ribbon closure.
Supplies Used:
Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set
Heirloom Boutique Bundle
Strawberry Slush Cardstock
Basic White Cardstock
Strawberry Slush Ribbon
Strawberry Slush Alcohol Markers
Lemon Lime Twist Alcohol Markers
Daffodil Delight Alcohol Markers
Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper
Measurements:
Strawberry Slush: (2) pieces 10" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2"
Strawberry Slush: 3" x 3" (cut with largest Stylish Shapes square)
Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3" (for stamping)
Basic White: 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (cut with second largest Stylish Shapes die)
Basic White: 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" (inside layer)
Mixed Up Patterns DSP: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" (cut diagonally)
Mixed Up Patterns DSP: (2) strips 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Scoring Tip:
On both card bases, find the smaller panel. Measure 4" from the edge and mark it. Then score diagonally from that mark to the outer corner.
I’ll show you step-by-step in the video how to fold the card bases, adhere them together, and finish it off with a pretty ribbon closure.
