Under The Misteltoe paired with Peaceful Noel

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share for you today is a gift card holder.  My team leader, Frenchie, gives us a challenge each month at our meetings and this month was to use Under The Mistletoe designer series paper (dsp) and combine it with a gift card.  The top dsp in my pack was the one with all the pine cones on it and was screaming the Pretty Pines thinlits so I went to work creating.  On my Whisper White layer I used the stamp set Peaceful Noel to create some greenery under my strip of dsp. I pulled colors from the paper and stamped with Old Olive, Shaded Spruce and Real Red.  The paper also has Night of Navy in it so I stamped the greeting with Night of Navy and mounted the dsp layer onto a layer of Night of Navy.  Once the card was assembled, I cut a pine cone out of Soft Suede and layered it with a detailed pine cone cut from Early Espresso.  A little Wink of Stella gives it a nice shimmer.  Under the pine cone I added pine boughs cut in Old Olive and Shaded Spruce.  On the bottom of the inside I stamped the sentiment I Night of Navy and the  added some little holly berries with Old Olive and Real Red.

To create the gift card holder I added a strip of dsp to a layer of Whisper White and adhered it to the top, inside of the card with some liquid glue, just putting glue on 3 sides so that the gift card could be slipped under it and secured.

Measurements:
Thick Whisper White - 8½ x 5½, scored at 4¼
Night of Navy - 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and 1¾ x 5¼
Whisper White - 5¼ x 4 and 3½ x 1¾
DSP - 5¼ x 1½ and 3½ x 1½
scraps of Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede and Early Espresso

Instructions:
  1. fold card base in half
  2. adhere large Night of Navy layer to card base
  3. stamp greeting on Whisper White layer in Night of Navy ink at the bottom right corner
  4. randomly stamp the leaf images across the middle of Whisper White layer, making sure you are leaving enough of a gap that they will appear under the dsp layer
  5. adhere dsp to Night of Navy strip, then adhere to center of card front with dimensionals
  6. cut pine boughs and pine cones from scrap paper
  7. adhere pine bought to dsp strip then add a pine cone with dimensionals
  8. brush pine cone with Wink of Stella
  9. stamp sentiment on inside, bottom with Night of Navy
  10. stamp some hollies on the inside as well
  11. on the top, inside we will create the gift card holder by adhering the 3½ x 1½ strip of dsp to the coordinating Whisper White strip
  12. put liquid glue on 3 sides of this strip and adhere to top, inside of card, making sure you leave enough room to add your gift card
  13. adorn with other pine cones brushed with Wink of Stella

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share for you today is a retirement card for a co-worker.  She has three puppies so I thought Bella and Friends would be perfect.   I went to the Stampin' Up! Online InColor Color Chart to come up with my color combo.  This free tool is awesome and is something you can print out to use as a reference.  Flipping through my color chart, I landed on Fresh Fig.  It was paired with Melon Mambo and Soft Seafoam and I love these colors together.  You can print the regular family color templates HERE.

Fresh Fig: 5¼ x 4
Soft Seafoam: 5 x 3¾
Brights 6 x 6 DSP: 4¾ x 3½
Whisper White: 2¾ x 2¾, scrap for sentiment

Instructions:

- Fold card base in half
- cut largest Layering Circles scallop from the Fresh Fig layer
- cut the 2nd larges Layering Circles circle from the Soft Seafoam layer
- adhere Fresh Fig layer to card base, Soft Seafoam layer to Fresh Fig and the DSP layer to the Soft Seafoam layer.
- Adhere Fresh Fig scallop circle to card front, I put mine more to the left than centered
- with dimensionals add the Soft Seafoam circle to the Fresh Fig
- stamp the little dog onto the Whisper White piece with memento black ink and then cut out with the Largest Stitched Shape circle.  Color the dog with the Stampin Blends.  Adhere to Soft Seafoam circle with dimensionals
- sprinkle some sequins around dog and on your sentiment
- stamp sentiment on scrap white with Fresh Fig ink.  I used the Tailored Tag punch to make the banner end

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate you!

Daisy Delight Happy Birthday

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share with you today is a card I made for a workshop I am doing with a fellow demonstrator.   I had a bunch of the Delightful Daisy dsp, which is no longer available, so decided to use it for our workshop.  The participants will be making 12 cards, 6 designed by me and 6 designed by my friend.  We also have a pot luck when we host this type of workshop so it will be a fun day.
Measurements:

Wisteria Wonder: 5½ x 8½, 3 x 5½
Whisper White:  5¼ x 4 * 2
DSP:  3 x 3¾
Old Olive Ribbon: 5"

Directions:

Stamp sentiment onto lower right corner of Whisper White using Night of Navy ink.  Adhere dsp to top half of card.  Wrap Old Olive ribbon around Whisper White piece, covering the edge of the dsp, and adhere to the back.  Adhere this layer to card base.  Stamp 2 daisies onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock in Wisteria Wonder ink.  Punch them out and layer together with a dimensional and off-setting the daisies to make a fuller flower.  Adhere to card front and add a Clear Faceted Gem to the flower center.  For Whisper White inside piece, stamp 2 daisies in one corner, overlapping them to make the daisy fuller.

Amazing Congratulations

Hello, welcome to my blog!

My share today is for one of my co-workers that just found out she's having a little boy so I thought the Amazing Congratulations stamp set would be perfect for her card.  My card base is thick whisper white, but a I put a full sized layer of Night of Navy over the top of the white.  My Wood Texture dsp layer is next.  I stamped the Congratulations on Whisper White with Marina Mist, Pacific Point and Night of Navy.  The smaller sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy.  This was then layered onto a piece of Marina Mist.  I punched two holes on either side of the "g" so that I could go under the layer and not cover up the tail of the "g" with the crinkled Night of Navy seam binding ribbon.  I tied a knot on the front and then adhered it to the card base with dimensionals.  That's it for today, thanks so much for stopping by.

Measurements:
Thick Whisper White: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and folded in half
Night of Navy: 5 1/2 x 4/1/4
Wood Textures dsp: 5 1/2 x 3 1/2
Marina Mist: 5 x 1 7/8
Whisper White: 4 3/4 x 1 5/8

Picture Perfect Birthday

Hello, welcome to my blog!

My share for you today is a card I made for a co-worker who just turned 50.  I love the Picture Perfect Party dsp in the Occasions catalog.  It is so fun and great for a celebration.  And talk about an easy card to put together.  My base is Bermuda Bay with  a layer of Lemon Lime Twist added that has been embossed with the Simple Stripes folder.  Then a layer of the Picture Perfect Party dsp pretty much finishes the card.  I did cut the 50 out with the Large Numbers framelits from gold foil paper.  Some Lemon Lime Twist striped ribbon finishes off the front.

I wanted to bring the celebration to the inside of the card so I fussy cut some of the party blowers out from the dsp and adhered them to my white layer.  The sentiment comes from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set which is stamped in Bermuda Bay.  That's it for today, thanks for stopping by!!

Measurements:
Bermuda Bay: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 and folded in half
Lemon Lime Twist: 5 1/4 x 4
Picture Perfect Party dsp: 3 1/5 x 5
Gold Foil: 2 x 4 1/2

Grown With Love

Hello, welcome to my blog!

My share today is a card I made last year for a friend of mine.  I just wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her and had not put ink to the Grown With Love stamp set yet.  I colored the wagon with the stampin write markers Real Red, Basic Black and Smokey Slate.  The veggies were colored with the stampin write markers Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Garden Green, Old Olive Real Red and Tangerine Tango.  The coordinating die set, Garden Grown framelits, made it a breeze to cut these out.  If you buy the stamp set and the framelits together as a bundle you can save 10%.  I love it when I can save on my products!  My sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Since I used the markers on the veggies, I didn't have to mask off the sentiment that is on that stamp, I just left it blank and added my own.  The card base, wagon and veggies are all Very Vanilla.  My background layer is from the Wood Textures dsp stack.  I adhered the Dapper Denim layer to the wood paper, then wrapped a length of the Peekaboo Peach crinkled seam binding ribbon around both layers and tied it in a bow on the front and adhered to the card base.  I then added a layer from the Color Theory dsp stack on top of the Dapper Denim and added the wagon and veggies to that with dimensionals.  I love how it turned out.  Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Measurements:
Very Vanilla: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and folded in half, 3 x 2 1/2, 2 1/4 x 1 1/2
Wood Texture dsp: 4 x 5 1/4
Dapper Denim: 3 1/4 x 2 3/4
Color Theory dsp: 3 x 2 1/2

Petal Passion Memories and More cards

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share today includes two products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and the Occasions catalog.  I absolutely love the Tutti-Frutti cards and envelopes and the Petal Passion Memories and More cards.  Putting the products together makes such quick and easy cards, you can do a bunch in no time.  All of the cards have been cut down, but I gave the cards away before taking measurements so I'm not sure what sizes they are.  They were each then mounted on Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the card bases.  The flowers were colored with the Blends markers and the sentiment comes from All Things Thanks stamp set.  Three of the cards got some Metallic Enamel Shapes and the Lemon Lime Twist card got some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon.  That's it for today, thank you so much for stopping by!

Painted Harvest Thanksgiving

Hello, welcome back to my blog.  My share with you today is a card I made for Thanksgiving, but never shared.  I'm trying real hard to get better at blogging and sharing my creations.  I started off with a card base of Old Olive, added a strip of dsp from the Daisy Delight package across the middle.  A layer of Early Espresso was added and then a layer from the Wood Textures dsp stack.  I stamped the full image of the sunflower in Crushed Curry and the more detailed image in Cajun Craze.  I then turned my full image stamp and stamped another layer of Crushed Curry.  I saw Patty Bennett do this and think it adds so much to the flower.  This piece was then cut with the Stitched Shape Framelits and layered onto Old Olive, which was then adhered to the card front at the top of the wood textures layer.  The greeting comes from the stamp set At Home With You stamped in Early Espresso and cut with the banner from the Large Letters framelits.  A little Crushed Curry was sponged on the edges of the banner and then it was adhered to the bottom of the wood textures layer with dimensionals.  That's if for today, thank you so much for stopping by.

Measurements:
Old Olive: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and folded in half for card base, 2 3/4 x 2 3/4
Delightful Daisy dsp: 2 x 4 1/4
Early Espresso: 3 1/2 x 4 1/2
Wood Textures dsp: 3 1/4 x 4
Whisper White: 2 5/8 x 2 5/8

Petal Passion Memories & More

I am in love with the Petal Passion Memories and More card pack in the Occasions Catalog on page 24.  Added to the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes that you can choose for FREE from the Sale-a-bration brochure with a qualified purchase, makes these cards a breeze to put together.  I colored the flower with the light and dark Calypso Coral Blends and the leaves with the light and dark Old Olive Blends.  I trimmed down the focal piece and then mounted it on a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Add that to the Calypso Coral card base and you have a stunning card.  I did add a few of the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes from page 33 of the Occasions Catalog as my finishing touch.

Measurements:
Tutti-Frutti Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, folded in half at 4 1/4 (Calypso Coral)

Amazing You

Hello, welcome to my blog.  I love, love, love how this card turned out.  The items from the Sale-A-Bration brochure are wonderful and I'm having so much fun playing with them.  For every $50 of supplies you purchase, you get to choose a free item from this brochure.  There are two level 2 items in the Sale-A-Bration brochure that are free with a $100 order.  I have used one of them today, the Celebrate You thinlits.

My card base and first layer are Smokey Slate and the layer was embossed two times with one of the folders from Petal Pair embossing folders. The next layer up is Sweet Sugarplum, then Elegant Eggplant and the top layer is Whisper White.  I stamped the lavender onto the Whisper White in Elegant Eggplant ink.  I then used a blender pen and colored in the blossoms with Elegant Eggplant ink as well.  The leaves and stems were colored with Wild Wasabi ink, the bow is Sweet Sugarplum and then the "wrap" around the bouquet was colored in with Crumb Cake ink.  The Amazing was cut from the Elegant Eggplant layer before the layers were adhered together and then added as the greeting on the top layer.  I used the stamp set Amazing You for the YOU sentiment stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink.  A few rhinestones finish it off.  Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it.

Measurements:
Smoky Slate - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and folded in half plus 5 1/4 x 4
Sweet Sugarplum - 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
Elegant Eggplant - 2 1/4 x 4 1/4, cut Amazing from middle before assembly
