Color Throwdown #44

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/ is the blog I used for these layouts. The challenge week was 44 - Barely Banana and Elegant Eggplant. I thought the colors worked well with all the colors on the ice. I won tickets to see Disney on Ice back in March and we had a real good time. Have a great week.

SketchSaturday #60

This sketch came from http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/. I just got some of the new SU papers and stamps so was in the holiday spirit. With this card I used the stamps Eat Drink & Be Scary and Autum Harvest. The spider is from SU 2003 but I'm not sure on the set's name. For the paper I used Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Cast A Spell. I also used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Black ink.. A little bit of pumpkin pie ribbon and some Fire Square brads finish the card.

I tried using a color scheme suggested by SU for this card. I used Soft Suede, Cameo Coral, white and Bermuda Bay CS. I also used Bermuda Bay DS paper. I used the SU embosslit HI and Garden Whimsey stamp set. For background on the white CS I used the stamp set Sprinkles. Also, to give the soft suede some texture I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds with Versa Mark Dazzle. Have a great weekend.

MojoMonday week 95

This is my take on MojoMonday 95. The stamp sets used are Christmas Punch and The More The Merrier. The inks used are Real Red, Old Olive and Basic Brown. I used White, Real Red and Old Olive CS. The designer paper is retired and I'm not sure on the name. I colored the snowmen with my markers and added a little olive twine to finish it off.

Friday Sketchers #59

July is a busy month for me. My Dad's birthday is also in July so this is what I came up with. The papers are Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede and DS Tall Tales all from SU. I used bleach to stamp on the Soft Suede first and then I stamped again using Chocolate Chip ink. The stamp set is from Thoughts of Father. I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds on both the Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry. The make a wish came from the set Small Talk.

SketchSaturday #58

My niece's birthday is coming up so I thought I should get busy with her card. I tried a tecnique France showed me. I used Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Glossy and Bermuda Bay papers. I dry embossed the Melon Mambo with the sizzix plate Shimmer Sparkle. I used the stamp set Circle Circus on the glossy paper stamped with white craft ink. I then embossed it with glitter power. The inks I used after embossing are Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. On the Crushed Curry I used the same ink and used Backgroud Basics to give some flair. The Happy Birthday came from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. A little Bermuda Bay ribbon to top it off. Happy 4th to you!!

Birthday Card

For this card I used Manchester and Very Vanilla papers, Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Always Artichoke ink and the stamp sets Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories. I colored the truck and presents with my water color pencils.
