Team Swap with the Sept - Dec Mini catalog

Hello my stamping friends. My share for you today is the card I made for our team swap. We do a swap each time we have a new catalog so this card is for the September - December 2023 Mini Catalog. I love participating in swaps as you make a few of the same card and then get the same amount of different cards back. This is a great resource for inspiration. I have the supplies, measurements and instructions listed below for you.

Measurements:
Melon Mambo: 4¼ x 11 scored at 5½, 3¼ x 2
Basic White: 4 x 5¼ * 2, 3 x 1½
Flirty Flamingo: 2¼ x 4¼
Merry Bold & Bright designer paper: 2 x 4, 4 x 1¼, 4 x ¾, 6 x 2½ (flap of envelope)

Instructions:
  1. Emboss one Basic White layer with the Disressed Tile 3D folder and adhere to card base. As an alternate, I cut this layer with the Dots & Spots die instead of embossing it. I like both designs.
  2. Adhere the 2 x 4 designer paper to the 2¼ x 4¼ Flirty Flamingo layer and then to card front.
  3. Adhere the 4 x 1¼ designer paper across the card front
  4. Using the Something Fancy dies, cut both the Melon Mambo and Basic White layers.
  5. Stamp the greeting onto the Basic White label with Real Red ink. Adhere to the Melon Mambo label and then to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  6. Add some of the Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots to the card front.
  7. Adhere the remaining designer paper strip to 4 x 5¼ inside layer and then to the inside of the card.

Holly Jolly Greetings

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My card today is for our Team Challenge in which we were given a piece of the Fancy Frost Specialty DSP and we had to make a full card with it.  Then we mail them back to Frenchie (my upline) and then she puts all of the participants into a drawing and the winner gets all of the cards made for that month.

I struggled just a bit with this paper because I wanted to do something cool with it so I inked up my brayer with versamark ink and rolled it over the dsp.  I then heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I tried to have a light hand, thinking that just the dots would get the ink on them, but the versamark went onto the background as well.  I liked how it turned out even though it was not what I expected.  I kept with the heat embossed theme and stamped the snowflake onto silver foil paper with versamark and heat embossed it with black powder.  To finish off the card, I added some of the silver Glitter Ribbon from the holiday catalog (pg 37).  I love the neutral colors and all of the sparkle and shine.  My card recipe is below.

Card Base: Thick Whisper White - 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, folded in half at 4 1/4
Layer 1: Basic Black - 5 1/4 X 4
Layer 2: Fancy Frost Specialty dsp - 5 X 3 3/4
Layer 3: Basic Black - 2 1/4 X 2 1/2
Layer 4: Silver Foil paper - 2 X 2 1/4
greeting stamped on scrap of Whisper White

For your convenience, all of the supplies I used are listed below:

Irresistibly Yours design paper

At last month's team meeting we were given some of the Irresistibly Yours dsp available for free until March 31, 2015 with a qualifying $50 purchase (before tax and handling).  I saw a card on Pinterest that I really liked so decided to use it for my inspiration.  My card base is Blackberry Bliss, then Wisteria Wonder, then Elegant Eggplant, then perfect plum, then rich razzelberry.  The final layer is whisper with sponged strips of the Irresistibly Yours dsp.  I sponged them in the same colors as my layers.  the greeting is stamped in Blackberry Bliss using one of the sentiments from Moon Lake.  The final touch is a Wisteria Wonder butterfly stamped with versamark using the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I embossed it with a mixture of Dazzling Diamonds and Clear Embossing Powder.  4 rhinestones make up the body of the butterfly.

Here is my color inspiration
And this was the card layout from Pinterest

Festival of Trees

Hello, welcome.  My share today is a card I made for our team color challenge.  The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  I embossed a very vanilla piece (5 1/4" X 4") with the On Point embossing folder and then adhered it to my very vanilla base.  The greeting is from And Many More stamped in cherry cobbler.  I punched it out with the 2" circle punch and layered it on a 2 1/2" circle of mossy meadow.  I then layered them onto cherry cobbler that was cut with the starburst framelits.  My crumb cake banner went on top of circles and then my Christmas tree.  I used the Festival of Trees stamp set.  The tree is mossy meadow and the ornaments are cherry cobbler.  The star on top and the tree base are stamped in crumb cake.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Fall Fest - team color challenge

Hello, welcome to my blog.  Today my card is based on the color combo I did for our Team Facebook page
The colors scream Halloween to me, but I wanted to do something different.  I got out my Fall Fest stamp set as well as For All Things.  My base is whisper white with a layer of basic black that measures 5 1/4 X 4, the next layer is the whisper white dsp in the paper stack.  This layer measures 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.  The next layer of basic black is 2 3/4 x 2 3/4.  My white squares are 1".  I stamped the different leaves in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.  the banner for the greeting was stamped in Old Olive using the For All Things stamp set and then the greeting from the same set was stamped in Rich Razzleberry.  A little sponging on the squares finishes off my card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Mingle all the Way

Hello, welcome back.  My share today is the card I made for our team color challenge.  The challenge was to use Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.  I used the sketch over at Clean & Simple to get me started.  My base is daffodil delight and then I layered a piece of pumpkin pie on the base.  Prior to gluing them together, I used the Cajun craze washi tape from Color Me Autumn and the Old Olive from Santa & Co..  I used my paper piercer to do two rows of pierced dots.  I used the whisper white 1/4" cotton ribbon and sponged it with soft suede.  The stamp sets I used are Good Greetings and Mingle All The Way.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

Fall Card - Team Challenge

The team challenge for August  we were given 1/4 sheet of t6he new 2014-2016 in colors and we had to make a full sized card using at least 2 of the colors.  I wanted to make a fall card and even though this doesn't scream fall to me, I am pleased with how it turned out.  I ended up using 4 of the colors, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Lost Lagoon.  I love Lost Lagoon.  I punched 1" squares out of the new Color Me Autumn dsp and then used my paper piercer and outlined them with hole.  My greeting is from the new stamp set For All Things.  Thanks for stopping by.  I complete list of supplies used is listed below.

Team Challenge Inchie Frame

Hello welcome to my blog.  My share today is our Team Challenge for April.  We did inchie squares and then swapped them. We each made 20 of the same square and we got 20 different ones in return.  Our color combo that we had to stay in was so saffron, pink pirouette, pool party, pear pizzaz and whisper white and the theme was spring.  I can hardly wait for the next one we do.  My frame is 10 x 10.  My first layer is pool party and then I mounted all of my inchies on basic black.  Love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!
