Bee My Valentine

Hello my stamping friends. My share today is another card I did for my card class this month. Eventhough the title of the bundle I used is Bee My Valentine, it doesn't just have to be for Valentine's Day. The card today could be a just because card or even a birthday card. Just switch up the sentiments. I have the measurements listed below for you and a video on how the card was put together. Enjoy!

Measurements

Sweet Sorbet - 8½ x 5½ scored at 4¼ for the card base
Basic Black - 2 @ 4 x 5¼, 2¼ x 3⅝
Basic White - 3⅞ x 5⅛, 2 x 3⅜, 1½ x 4¼
Petal Pink - 2⅛ x 3½
Designer Paper - 3⅞ x 5⅛

The complete supplies can be found but clicking the image below. This will add all of the supplies to your shopping cart with me, so just be sure to delete the items you already have.

The video showing how to assemble is below. Thanks for watching.

Sunshine Sayings

Hello, welcome back.  I made this card awhile ago, but never shared it on my blog.  I was looking for some inspiration and had Sweet Sugarplum sitting next to Rich Razzleberry and this card was born.  I love the simplicity of this card.  I started with a card base of Sweet Sugarplum then added a layer of Rich Razzleberry.  Before adhering the Rich Razzleberry to the base, I cut the LOVE out of the center using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  I stamped the flowers onto my Whisper White in Sweet Sugarplum ink.  I glued the LOVE across the flower stems and then stamped the rest of my greeting using Sunshine Sayings stamp set in archival black ink.

Card Recipe/Measurements:

Card Base: Sweet Sugarplum 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Rich Razzleberry 5 x 3 3/4
Whisper White 4 3/4 x 3 1/2
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum, archival black
Stamp Set: Sunshine Sayings
Accessories:  Sunshine Wishes thinlits, big shot, multipurpose glue, fast fuse adhesive, In-Color Enamel Shapes

Helping Me Grow

Hello, welcome back.  My share today is a card I made for our team facebook challenge.  It was a color challenge using Basic Black, Basic Gray and Real Red.  I had been wanting to try a neutral colored card with just a pop of color so it worked well with what I was imagining.  The last 2 days we have gotten a ton of snow so I am dreaming of spring today.  I started with a Whisper White card base and then layered black dsp from the Neutrals dsp stack.  I bordered my stamped image with a very small Real Red layer and very small Basic Gray layer.  For the stamped image, I used the Thick Whisper White for my stamped image using Archival Basic Black ink.  I then used a blender pen and the Basic Gray ink to color the flowers.  Just a pop of Real Red in the center finishes the flowers.  For my sentiment I merged two of the stamps from the Greatest Greetings set, using the basic black marker to only color the words I wanted.  The stamp-a-ma-jig made it a piece of cake to line up both words.  That was punched with the word window punch and layered onto the washi label punch.  A Real Red candy dot finishes off the card.  Thanks so much for stopping by!! I appreciate it.

Bloomin Love

For our team challenge this month we were given a piece of the Perfectly Artistic dsp and had to make it the focal point of our card.  I'm not sure it's the focal point, but I sure like how it turned out.  I used the Love Blossoms suite of products in the Occasions catalog.  Oh my gosh are these products beautiful.  I love everything about this suite.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Valentine

I gave this card to my husband on Valentine's Day.  I wasn't sure I would use the new Hardwood stamp that much, but I really love what it adds to cards.  My base is crumb cake with the second layer being cherry cobbler.  The hardwood was stamped on crumb cake with early espresso ink.  I used the Hearts framelits to cut out the heart.  I stamped a smaller piece of crumb cake with the hardwood as well so that I could pop up the top layer and still have my "wood" underneath.  A little sponging around the heart on both layers just makes it really pop.  I used a template cut with the smallest heart from the hearts framelits to color the little heart with cherry cobbler.  I then added a few lines with the white gel pen.  My greeting came from Love you to the Moon found in the Celebrate the Everyday catalog and is stamped in versamark and embossed with white powder.  A little of the Natural Chevron Ribbon finishes this card off.

Feb 2013 pages

These are my pages for my February class.  Since love is in the air I decided to use the More Amore dsp, My Little Valentine stamp set and the Hearts A Flutter framelits.  The colors for card stock and ink are Real Red, Pool Party and Primrose Petals.  Other accessories I used are red and silver glimmer paper, Fashionable Hearts embosslits, Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit, Large Paper Doily sizzlit, the scallop trim border and corner punches, cherry cobbler bakers twine and the Pool Party ruffled ribbon
