MDS Week 2 homework
Well my homework for this week's MDS class was to create a custom size project that was 4.5 x 4.5. It had to have pictures with mats and dropped shadows along with a title and calendar. I couldn't help using my grand-babies as my subject. Love them to pieces.

Best of Butterflies
I got my Best of Butterflies stamp set in the mail today and since it's cold and snowy outside, I decided to bring spring inside my stampin room. I used a clear block and stamped the background with Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. I then stamped the larger butterfly with versa mark and embossed in silver. The little butterflies are stamped with melon mambo and sponged with bashful blue and pretty in pink. I punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly punch. My greeting is stamped in bashful blue with Lacy & Lovely stamp set.

April 2013 pages
Here are my pages for next month's class. I love the bright colors because they work for girls or boys. I started off with Rich Razzelberry for my background and I knew I wanted to use Polka Dot Parade dsp so I cut border strips and then used the Edgelits Finishing Touches on each side. Then I used the Cupcake Builder Punch for all of the cute cupcakes. The bottoms are with Polka Dot Parade and the tops are Silver and Champagne Glimmer Paper. My other card stock colors are Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Marina Mist and Pumpkin Pie. I used the stamp set You're Amazing with Rich Razzelberry ink and then cut them out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. The edges are sponged with Daffodil Delight.

I just got the Best of Birthdays stamp set and decided to design a card. This card is way easy but I like how it turned out. Snowmen Frame
Well, I just love snowmen and my upline is hosting a Christmas party this weekend for all of us and part of the party is a gift exchange if you want to participate. Well I saw a quilt similar to this on Pinterest and fell in love so I thought I would convert it to paper and put it in a picture frame for my gift. My frame is 6.75" by 16.75" that I picked up at one of our local craft stores. My snowmen measure 2 1/2 inches on the bottom and then I marked up 6" and then right in the center at 1 1/4" to make their bodies. The hat is 1 1/2" square and I just free hand cut the sides in. I used paper from Polka Dot Parade dsp pack for the back ground and frame. My red glitter squares are 1". I had some black stickles that I used for the eyes and mouth and for the nose I punched a circle with the 1/2" punch in pumpkin pie, I then cut it in half, made one end straight and then cut a half moon off the straight long edge. The scarfs are different colors of the 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

big shot accessories: floral frames framelit, buttons #5 sizzlits, delicate designs folder and lacy brocade embossing folder
other accessories: real red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, cherry cobbler bakers twine, frost white shimmer paint, champagne shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol
