🎄 Super Simple Christmas Card Using Party Alphabet Dies



📝 Supplies List

  • Cardstock

    • Thick Basic White (card base)

    • Real Red (layer)

    • Granny Apple Green (embossed layer)

  • Designer Paper (DSP)

    • Take A Bow (retired) — or Christmas Tags & More DSP as an alternate

  • Dies

    • Party Alphabet Dies

  • Embellishments

    • Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints

    • Real Red & White Baker’s Twine (about 13")

  • Adhesives

    • Stampin’ Dimensionals (for letters)

    • Multipurpose Liquid Glue / Stampin’ Seal+ (for layers)

  • Tools

    • Forever Plaid Embossing Folder

    • Die-cutting machine

    • Bone folder

    • Scissors / Paper trimmer


✂️ Measurements Recap

  • Card base: Thick Basic White – 4 ¼" × 11", scored at 5 ½"

  • First layer: Real Red – 4 ⅛" × 5 3⁸"

  • Second layer: Granny Apple Green – 4" × 5 ½" (embossed)

  • DSP pieces: Four patterns at 2" × 3" each (die-cut letters)

  • DSP for envelope flap: 2 ¼" × 6"


🪄 Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Prepare Card Base

    • Score Thick Basic White at 5 ½" and fold.

  2. Adhere Real Red Layer

    • Center on card front with adhesive.

  3. Emboss & Add Green Layer

    • Emboss Granny Apple Green with Forever Plaid folder.

    • Attach on top of Real Red layer.

  4. Die-Cut DSP Letters

    • Use Party Alphabet Dies on your 2" × 3" DSP pieces.

    • Arrange letters for your word/sentiment.

  5. Attach Letters with Dimensionals

    • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals behind each letter for added height.

  6. Wrap & Tie Baker’s Twine

    • Wrap 13" of twine across the card front or tie a bow; secure with glue dots.

  7. Decorate with Adhesive-Backed Peppermints

    • Add to the card front for extra festive detail.

  8. Finish the Envelope

    • Adhere the 2 ¼" × 6" DSP to the envelope flap; trim excess.
