Friends & Flowers

Hi, welcome to my blog.  My share today is another card I did for an upcoming fundraiser that a couple of my friends and I are putting on.  The Friends & Flowers stamp was another one that had not been introduced ink to yet so I pulled it out and took care of that.  LOL  I like the soft look of this card and very please with how it turned out.  I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of Blushing Bride.  The next layer is Whisper White as well, I just used the Brushstrokes stamp and Blushing Bride ink to make my own design paper.  I stamped 4 large petals, 4 medium petals and 2 small petals (they are connected so it looks like 4) in Blushing Bride ink.  Then, before I punched them out using the Festive Flower builder punch, I sponged them with Blushing Bride ink.  I layered the petals onto a 1 3/8" circle so that it was easy to put the flower together.  Each petal also got a layer of clear Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.  A Botanical Garden jewel finishes of the center of the flower and then it was added to a Lace Paper Doily, which was all added to my card.  My birthday greeting comes from Cottage Garden stamped in Smoky Slate.

Here's a quick tip on how to match up your Friends & Flower stamp images with the Festive Flower builder punch.  I punched the petals out of a scrap piece of cardstock and then mounted it on another color of cardstock.  Then you add your stamp images into the holes, put your clear block on top so that when you stamp the images, they will line up perfectly with the punch, saving you paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it.
