Valentine 12 x 12

I decided that I should start my Valentine scrapbook pages and came up with these 2 pages. I fell in love with this little hippopotomus and knew he had to be on my page. I CASE'd him from Geraldine Andrade (she used the smaller oval punch where I chose to use the largest one since he was going on a 12 x 12 page)
My supplies include:
cs: pink pirouette, basic grey, whisper white, basic black, real red, going grey (ret)
dsp: glimmer paper, love impressions
ss: valentine defined
accessories: circle punches (1 3/4, 2 1/2 cut down a smidge, 3/4) 2 x 1 3/8 extra large oval punch, googlie eyes, top note, big shot, heart to heart extra large punch, heart small punch, scalloped heart of hearts embosslit, red polka dot ribbon, cricut with lyrical letters cartridge.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

SC27 Sketch Challenge

I did this page of my grandson for the soul-scrappers challenge going on right now. I love sketches and challenges because for me, it provides the hardest part of the project, the layout. With this layout I used a piece of dsp from To The Nines (ret.) I added some cut-outs from my cricut using the cartridge B is for Boy. I got to spend almost 4 weeks with this little guy during the holidays this year and that was my most valued gift. His daddy is in the Marine Corps so I don't get to see him too often. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the weekend.

Purse

I made this purse with one piece of 12 x 12 card stock. All you do is score 2 opposite sides at 2 3/4 and then on the other 2 sides you score at 4 1/2. Reinforce your score lines. Below is a picture of the inside of the purse so you can see how you pinch the sides together to make the inside of the purse.
I use red sticky tape to hold the top portions down and then also on the reinforcement strip at the top of the purse. This piece is 2" by 6 1/2" scored down the middle at 1". I then added a strip of paper at the bottom for decoration with ribbon and a bow. The bow was tied by using a meat fork which always makes the perfect bow. The paper used on this purse is Sweet Slumber (retired). This will be a prize for a winner of one of the games played at my daughter's baby shower at the end of the month. Stay tuned for 2 more projects to donate as prizes.

In Wilderness 3

Okay, it would appear that I am stuck on using this stamp set. I saw a card similar by Marcia Bolte and just had to try it. I used early espresso and cherry cobbler cs and then stamped the buffalo on fun foam. I used soft suede ink both on the buffalo and the sponging around the top note. The cherry cobbler was embossed with the lattice embossing folder. A simple greeting from teeny tiny wishes finishes it off. Thanks for stopping by.
