Baker's Box - Valentine Treats

Hello, welcome to my blog.  I am helping with a fundraiser at work that supports our local animal shelter.  We sell a variety of Valentine items.  I like to make treats for our sale, and this is one style I came up with.  It uses the Baker's Box Thinlit die and then decorated with the Love Blossoms dsp stack.  The sizes I cut the dsp into are 2 pieces of 2 1/2 x 1 1/2, 1 piece of 2 1/2 x 2 1/8 and 2 of 2 1/8 x 2 1/8.  I used items from the Circle Card thinlit and Tags & Labels framelit sets.  The I (heart) You is from the Memories in the Making stamp set.  I used silver and gold glimmer paper for the XOXO.  some of them I layered on black card stock, which really made them stand out.  My boxes are made from Blushing Bride, Real Red, Crumb Cake and Rose Red card stock.  I had 12 x 12 of each color so I was able to get 2 boxes from 1 sheet.  I did use some retired rose red grosgrain ribbon I still had in addition to the White Organza ribbon and the Crumb Cake Stitched Satin ribbon.  I am pleased with how they turned out and they will hopefully bring in lots of money for the shelter.  Each box is filled with chocolate kisses.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Team Challenge - Botanical Gardens Vellum

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share today is our team challenge for February.  We were given a piece of the Botanical Gardens vellum from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and had to make it the focal point of our card.  I chose to layer my vellum onto an Elegant Eggplant card base.  I then used the Hello stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and the Grateful Bunch stamp set with the coordinating Blossom Bunch punch.  If you buy these two together as a bundle, you will save 15%.  Who doesn't like to save money?  I stamped the flowers in pool party and then used the punch with the Love Blossoms paper stack for the remaining flowers.  Each flower got a rhinestone jewel for its center.  I stamped the "hello" in Elegant Eggplant and cut it out with the Lots of Labels framelits and sponged in Rose Red.  I pierced my label with Updated Essentials paper piecing templates.  I used the little banner punch to flag the My Friend strip which is stamped in Rose Red and then sponged with pool party.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Valentine treat box

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share today is some cute little boxes that holds 2 Ghiradelli chocolates.  I used the video tutorial over on ChickenScratch for my inspiration.  Each Valentine's Day we have a fundraiser at work and the proceeds benefit our local animal shelter.  I volunteer my stamping hobby to help with the fundraiser.  I loved these little boxes and they were so easy to make.  Please see below for a complete supply list.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

#ChallengeJan13card

Hello, welcome to by blog.  My project today is a cute little bag made with the Gift Bag Punch board.  I have a baby shower to attend this week and wanted to have a cute bag to give my gift in.  Over on our team facebook page we were given a challenge to make a project with Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow and Blushing Bride.  We could also use one neutral as well so I chose Whisper White.  I started with a 12 x 12 piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and followed the instructions on the board for the large bag.  My dsp is from the Subtle dsp stack.  I used the Lots of Labels framelits in addition to the Tags & Labels framelits.  I stamped the little onsey in Sahara Sand on Blushing Bride card stock using the stamp set Made with Love.  I then used the Baby's First framelites to cut it out.  The greeting is stamped with the Suite Sayings set.  I added a pearl to the onsey and a Botanical Gardens Jewel to finish it off.  I tied the bag with the Sahara Sand Lace Trim.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Botanical Gardens

This is the other card we will be doing at our Challenge class.  I love this bundle.  The flowers are so pretty.  I started with a base of Mint Macaron, then layered Basic Black.  I used the Botanical Gardens dsp along with the Neutrals paper stack.  My other card stock colors are Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze. I also used a little piece of vellum for one of the flower layers.  I did stamp the leaves with the coordinating stamp set, Botanical Blooms, using Mossy Meadow ink on a few of the leaves.  I finished off the flowers with some rhinestones.

Card recipe:

Base: Mint Macaron 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Basic Black: 4 x 5 1/4
Neutrals paper stack:  2 3/4 x 5
Botanical Gardens dsp:  1 x 5
Mossy Meadow strip: leaves cut out, 1 1/4 x 5

Darth Vader - party invite

My grandson turns 5 next month and he is having a Star Wars party so this is what we came up with for the invite.  The base is a quarter piece of Tangerine Tango cs layered with retired brushed silver card stock embossed with the zig-zag embossing folder.

Here is a list of punches used to make Darth Vader:

2 1/2 Circle punch - used 1 1/2 of them
3/4 circle punch - 2 eyes
word window punch x 3
2 black pieces measuring 1 3/4 x 2
half of a 1 1/2" square, cut diagonally
retired small triangle punch
PL corner rounder punch

All of the black pieces were sponged with whisper white craft ink.  The party details are on the back.

Party With Cake

I work with a couple of friends of mine and once a month we take turns being the demonstrator for a group of gals.  We call it Challenge so we try and give them advanced cards/projects to do.  I had not yet played with this bundle, Party With Cake bundle, and can I say I love it!!  At first I was a little intimidated, but once I started playing with it, it was real easy.  I used both the clear and gold Wink of Stella on my card.  The cake on the front and "Celebrate" I used the clear and then on the candle flames on the inside I sued the gold.  I had never worked with Wink of Stella before, but it's wonderful.  It adds just enough shimmer to a project.  I love how my card turned out.  Hope the gals like it too.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Here's my card recipe:
