Peaceful Wreath

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share today is a Christmas card I made using Peaceful Wreath, Holly Jolly Greetings and Embellished Ornaments stamp sets.  I wasn't too sure about the card when I first started it a few days ago, but decided I should finish it before forming an opinion.  Boy am I glad I did because I love how it turned out.  I started out with a basic black base and then layered some retired brushed gold cardstock.  The next layer is another basic black piece embossed with the softly falling folder.  I added a strip of Winter Wonderland designer vellum, Merry from the Christmas Greetings thinlit cut with gold glimmer paper and a gold embossed Christmas.  I stamped the Peaceful Wreath with versamark ink and then embossed it with gold powder.  I added a few dots of dazzling details cherry cobbler for the berries. I used the coordinating framelit to cut it out.  I used the same framelit set to cut the bow from red glimmer paper.  For the inside I stamped the holly in versamark and then embossed with gold powder.  I then mounted it onto cherry cobbler card stock.  The greeting was stamped with cherry cobbler using the Embellished Ornaments stamp set.

Your Presents

Hello, welcome to my blog.  For my share today, I used the Stampin' Gals Gone Wild sketch.  I love using a sketch to get me started because I don't consider myself a very creative person.  A sketch gives me a place to begin.  My base is crumb cake that measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored in half at 4 1/4.  The next layer I used a piece of dsp from the Merry Moments stack that measures 4 x 5 1/4.  Next is a layer of Cherry Cobbler measuring 4 1/2 x 3 1/4.  Before adhering it to the base, I stamped Joy in Whisper White Craft ink and embossed it with white emboss powder.  The next layer of dsp measures 4 1/4 x 3.  I used the 2" circle punch to create my "window" and then adhered it to the cherry cobbler layer with stampin' dimensionals.  I added a little bow tied with the green 1/8" striped ribbon from the Holiday Catalog.  My greeting comes from Versatile Christmas stamp set.  I stamped it in cherry cobbler and punched with the word window punch.  I sponged the edges with Old Olive and then mounted it on a piece of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper punched with the Washi Label punch. On the inside I layered a piece of cherry cobbler (4x 5 1/4) and then a piece of whisper white (3 3/4 X 5).  I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray, the present in Old Olive and the bow in cherry cobbler.  For the envelope, I used a strip of the dsp to dress it up a little.  Thanks for stopping by!

Your Presents - Birthday Day card

I was cleaning up my stamping room and found this make-and-take from convention this summer that I had never completed.  It was so simple and I love how it turned out.  The stamp set that was used is Your Presents.  I also used Endless Birthday Wishes for the greeting.  The presents are stamped with Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder, and Mint Macaron.  The bow on top of the watermelon wonder  present is stamped in basic gray, as well as the greeting.  The bow on the mint macron is stamped in delightful Dijon.  I used some of the Brights Sequin Assortment to add some bling to the card.  The envelope is made with the In-Color Envelope Paper  Thanks for stopping by!

Marine Corps thank you

The Marine Corps birthday was on November 10th and then with Veteran's Day on the 11th I decided to take a tray of goodies to my local Marine recruiting office.  My son is a recruiter stationed in Denver Colorado as a recruiter supervisor so I hold the Marines near and dear to me.  My card base is Whisper White and then layered with Night of Navy and then a layer of Sahara Sand that was embossed with the Lucky Stars folder.  I then sponged each star with some Sahara Sand ink.  I made a banner of Real Red, Whisper White and Night of Navy card stock.  I have a stamp set that has Marine Corps images so I used that set to stamp the one image in versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  The Oorah! was stamped in real red.  I also made tags for their goodies using the For Your Country stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Garden in Bloom

Hello, welcome.  My share today is a card I sent to a friend of mine.  I started out with a base of Tip Top Taupe that measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored in half at 4 1/4, and then layered a piece of In-Color Mint Macaron dsp from the stack that measures 4 x 5 1/4.  On the Whisper White piece I stamped using the Garden in Bloom set.  I started with the greeting and stamped it with Tip Top Taupe.  Then I used the outline images from the set and stamped randomly with Tip Top Taupe.  I then used the full flower image and stamped with Delightful Dijon and the full leave image and stamped with Mint Macaron.  My Whisper White layer is about 3 x 4, and then layered at an angle and trimmed to match the dsp.  I tied some Delightful Dijon Dotted Lace trim around the dsp layer before mounting it on the Tip Top Taupe base.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Lovely as a Tree landscape

Hello, welcome back.  I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest and I fell in love with the sponging and the reflection so I thought I would give it a shot.  I started with a base of Pool Party (8 1/2 X 5 1/2, scored in half) and then a layer of Basic Black (5 1/4 X 4).  My next layer started out as Whisper White (5 X 3 3/4), but with all of the sponging, you would never be able to tell.  I started and sponged both the top and bottom of the white with pool party.  I then masked it off with post-it notes and sponged in Smoky Slate.  I tried to make it look like mountains with it being a little darker at the top.  I then did the same thing to the bottom creating my reflection of the mountains.  I used the Archival Black Ink and stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  I stamped the same image on vellum card stock and flipped it over, making sure to line up the trees, and then just rubbed it over my sponging.  I wasn't sure it was going to turn out, but love how it did.  I then sponged a little more at the roots of the trees for the ground.  I used the stamp set And Many More for my greeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Wild About Flowers

Hello, welcome to my blog.  I have been MIA but my goal is to get better about posting every day.  I needed a thank you card for a co-worker of mine and I just love how this turned out.  I CASE'd it from a card I saw Frenchie do and changed it up a little.  My base is Wisteria Wonder, then a layer of Soft Sky.  I then used Thick Whisper White.  On the thick white I used a I used a B block and inked it up with So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi.  I then used the Wild About Flowers stamp set for the flowers.  The stems are in Mossy Meadow and the flower heads are Hello Honey.  I stamped the greeting in Blackberry Bliss using the Cottage Greetings stamp set.  A little crocheted lace trim finishes it off.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gift Bag Punch Board / Halloween

Here is another bag I made using the Gift Bag Punch Board.  I started with a piece of Happy Haunting DSP measuring 10 x 10.  I scored the bag according to the directions on the punch board using the S score line.  I also scored an inch all the way across the top so that I could fold it over and show the other side of the DSP.  I decorated the bag with half of a Spider Web Doily, half of a 2 3/8" scallop circle punched in Tangelo Twist, a black 1 1/4" scallop circle with 4 scallops trimmed off.  The BOO is from the stamp set Cheer All Year and punched out using the 1" circle punch.  I had some retired Tangelo Twist thick baker's twine that I used to tie the bag shut.

Leprechaun punch art card

I am way late in posting this card, but I still think it's worth sharing.  I used the bird builder punch for his eyebrows, moustache and nose.  His eyes are candy dots and I hand drew his mouth.  A little heart stamp makes my clover for me.

You're So Sweet

My share for you today is a card I made with the You're So Sweet stamp set and the Bohemian dsp.  This stamp set coordinates with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit which is what I cut the inside of the star out with.  I fussy cut the outside of the star.  My card base is Very Vanilla and then I mounted a layer of Blackberry Bliss embossed with the new Boho Chic embossing folder.  A few squares from the dsp bordered with some washi tape.  Thanks for stopping by.

No Bones About It

I love this dinosaur stamp set.  My 4yr old grandson thought it was for him, and I had to actually convince him that it needed to stay at my house.  My card base is Tip Top Taupe and the dsp with the Go Wild dsp paper stack.  What fun paper.  I saw a card on Pinterest similar to this with the double time stamping.  I loved just part of the skeleton showing.  My dinosaur needed a heart so I used the Confetti Hearts Border punch with some red glimmer paper.  Thanks for stopping by.

Confetti Celebration just because

Hello, welcome back.  My share today is a card I made for a fund raiser that I am helping France Martin with.  Our fund raiser is for Celebrate Pink, which supports people who have breast cancer or are going through treatment for breast cancer.  This is near and dear to me since I was a beneficiary of one of their grants a year and a half ago.  I also lost my Mother to breast cancer 3 1/2 years ago so I am honored to help with this.

My card base is Pistachio Pudding with the next layer being Strawberry Slush.  I used the Confetti Celebration dsp which measures 5 x 2 3/4 and then a strip of whisper white finishes off that layer.  It is 5 x 1.  The greeting is stamped in Basic Gray with the And Many More stamp set.  I did use the retired Strawberry Slush ruffled ribbon and then used the 1", 1 1/4" circle punches along with the flower from the itty bitty accents punch pack.  Pistachio Pudding is the 1 1/4" circle and the 1" circles are Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush and Tangelo Twist.  Pearl accents finish off the card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Irresistibly Yours design paper

At last month's team meeting we were given some of the Irresistibly Yours dsp available for free until March 31, 2015 with a qualifying $50 purchase (before tax and handling).  I saw a card on Pinterest that I really liked so decided to use it for my inspiration.  My card base is Blackberry Bliss, then Wisteria Wonder, then Elegant Eggplant, then perfect plum, then rich razzelberry.  The final layer is whisper with sponged strips of the Irresistibly Yours dsp.  I sponged them in the same colors as my layers.  the greeting is stamped in Blackberry Bliss using one of the sentiments from Moon Lake.  The final touch is a Wisteria Wonder butterfly stamped with versamark using the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I embossed it with a mixture of Dazzling Diamonds and Clear Embossing Powder.  4 rhinestones make up the body of the butterfly.

Here is my color inspiration
And this was the card layout from Pinterest

Moon Lake thank you

I just recently got the Moon Lake stamp set and I love it.  I made this particular card for my Dad.  I started with a crumb cake base and then added a layer of Wild Wasabi embossed with the chevron embossing folder.  I used the Labels Collection framelits with #3 (counting from the outside in) being the Soft Sky and #4 being the very vanilla.  I used the paper piercing template to pierce the soft sky piece.  My goose is stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and then I used some blendabilities to add color to the images.  On the goose I used light and medium crumb cake, light wild wasabi and medium crumb cake for the cat-tails and then I used all three soft sky markers for the water.  My greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes on very vanilla and mounted on soft sky.  A little burlap ribbon finishes it off.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Tanner's birthday

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My share today is my grandson's birthday presents.  I love how they turned out, so cute.  I saw this on pinterest and loved the idea.  I used the Stampin' Up! wrapping paper from the Holiday catalog along with the Celebrate Today stamp set and coordinating Balloon Framelits.  My balloon colors are tempting turquoise, daffodil delight, Bermuda bay, pacific point, tangerine tango, real red and pumpkin pie.  I used some Island Indigo baker's twine for my strings.  I twisted them together and anchored them with a glue dot,  I then put the bow from the stamp set over the top.  Tanner's name was cut from the little letter thinlits and the #4 is from the perfect print  numbers die.  I hope Tanner likes his balloons.  Thanks for stopping by.

Valentine

Hello, my share for you today is a sweet little Valentine.  I saw something like this on Pinterest but it was a baby card.  I love the soft colors on this card.  My base is smoky slate topped with a layer of silver fancy foil designer vellum.  I then cut one of the white tea lace paper doilies in half for my next layer.  I topped it off with a blushing bride dsp pennant.  I used the sweetheart punch paired with heart from the itty bitty accents punch pack.  I also added some of the heart sequins from the 2013-2015 in color sequin assortment.  My xoxo was cut with the circle thinlits from silver glimmer paper.  I layered it on top of an xoxo cut in basic gray.  To finish it off I used a vintage faceted designer button tied with blushing bride bakers twine layered on a strip of smoky slate chevron ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you.

Butterfly Basics

My share today is using the butterfly basics bundle in the Occasions catalog.  Gosh, there are so many wonderful sets in the catalog, I want them all.  This card starts out with a base of whisper white.  Layered on top is a piece of pear pizzaz, stamped with the background stamp in this set with pear pizzaz ink.  I then used a piece of Something Borrowed dsp for the bottom half of this layer.  I covered the seam where I joined the papers with Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim.  The next layer is Sahara Sand stamped with the border line from the same set in Sahara Sand ink.  For my flowers, I stamped them on whisper white with momento black ink and then used blendabilities makers to color them.  The butterflies are images from the set as well.  For the big butterfly, I used the coordinating framelit to cut it out.  The little butterfly is punched with the bitty butterfly punch. I colored the pearls with the blendabilities makers as well to finish off my butterfly.  Thanks for stopping by.

Crazy About You

Hello, my share today is using another new stamp set from the Occasions catalog called Crazy About You.  I love, love, love all the sentiments that are included with this set.  The possibilities are endless.  My card base is Whisper White with a layer of Birthday Bash dsp.  The yellow ribbon is new as well and it feels wonderful.  It's called 5/8" Quilted Cotton Ribbon.  It feels just like a baby's blanket.  I stamped my flower in Night of Navy and fussy cut with my paper snips.  The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow and fussy cut as well.  A crushed curry candy dot finishes it off.  Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Lotus Blossom

Hello, welcome back.  The 2015 Occasions catalog is in full swing and so is Sale A Bration.  I have to say, I am in love with this new stamp set.  What's even better is that it's free.  Yes that's right, free during Sale A Bration with a qualifying order ($50 before tax and shipping).  This is a triple step stamp set and the beauty of it is you can use just one ink pad for all three steps.  I started with stamp 1 at full strength, then stamp 2 at full strength and then step 3 I stamped off once and then added it to my card.  My ink color is Bermuda Bay.  My card base is smoky slate and the dsp is from the Birthday Bash pack.  My little banners are made from the Irresistibly Yours dsp, also free in the Sale
A Bration catalog.  I sponged it with Tangelo Twist and Bermuda Bay.  Love how you can make this paper look so different by adding a little color.  I didn't add a lot of bling to the card because my goal was to keep them as flat as I could for easy mailing.  Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Basics

Hello, welcome to my blog.  My card today is based on a card I saw from Debbie Mageed.  I just loved her card and had to make one.  I used Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky for my color scheme.  I love the Butterfly Basics stamp set found in the new 2015 Occasions catalog. I embossed the Very Vanilla with the hexagon embossing folder to match the background stamp from this set.  The flower image is great to color with our blendabilities markers.  I used the Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi markers to color the flower.  I used the oval framelits  #5 (counting from the left) to cut my image and then sponged it with Soft Sky.  I used the 4th oval to cut my background oval in Calypso Coral.  The stamped image is mounted with dimensionals and then I used the oval paper piercing templates on the Calypso Coral.  That does it for today's post, thanks for stopping by.

Valentine Scrapbook Pages 2015

Hello, welcome back to my blog.  It's been awhile since I posted and will try in 2015 to post more frequently.  I did some Christmas pages similar to this a couple of years ago and liked the layout so I thought I would use the new Valentine products in the 2015 Occasions catalog.  I used my stampin trimmer to cut most of my black card stock out of the middle, leaving a 1" border all around my vanilla pages.  I then glued my vanilla onto the black and started adding some washi tape.  I used both the sweetheart punch and the thinlit heart that is with the treat bag thinlit.  I also used the heart border punch for my tiny hearts.  I used the Skinny Mini alphabet set to stamp my title.  Some red and gold glimmer paper with some pearl accents finish off the pages.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
