Snowmen Frame

Well, I just love snowmen and my upline is hosting a Christmas party this weekend for all of us and part of the party is a gift exchange if you want to participate.  Well I saw a quilt similar to this on Pinterest and fell in love so I thought I would convert it to paper and put it in a picture frame for my gift.  My frame is 6.75" by 16.75" that I picked up at one of our local craft stores.  My snowmen measure 2 1/2 inches on the bottom and then I marked up 6" and then right in the center at 1 1/4" to make their bodies.  The hat is 1 1/2" square and I just free hand cut the sides in.  I used paper from Polka Dot Parade dsp pack for the back ground and frame.  My red glitter squares are 1".  I had some black stickles that I used for the eyes and mouth and for the nose I punched a circle with the 1/2" punch in pumpkin pie, I then cut it in half, made one end straight and then cut a half moon off the straight long edge.  The scarfs are different colors of the 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

December 2012

I saw a Santa page on Pinerest that I fell in love with, but it was only one page and I always like to do a 2 page spread.  After racking my brain and talking with my friend Lynne, this is what I came up with.  I will be doing this for my December scrapbook class.

my supplies include:

paper: cherry cobbler, whisper white, basic black and champagne glimmer
ink:  black stazon and cherry cobbler
punches:  oval scallop, retired small oval punch, extra large oval punch, boho blossoms, word window
stamp set:  I am not sure what the alphabet stamp set is called as it is retired and from 2001, my journal box is from Notes & Details - also retired
big shot accessories:  floral frames framelit, buttons #5 sizzlits, delicate designs folder and lacy brocade embossing folder
other accessories:  real red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, cherry cobbler bakers twine, frost white shimmer paint, champagne shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol

Happy Thanksgiving - thanks for stopping by.

French Foliage

I originally did this card with my upline and friend, France.  Hers was done in cajun craze, which was really nice, but I had to add my touch to her take.  I love purple and thought that elegant eggplant might be a little dark so I used wisteria wonder.  You can't really tell in my picture, but I sprayed the wisteria wonder block with a mixture of alcohol and frost white shimmer paint.  I used the seasonal sayings and french foliaage stamp sets.  My ink is black stazon and wisteria wonder.

Christmas card

I saw this card made with ribbon, but I thought I would try dsp.  My card base is very vanilla, then gumball green and then another layer of very vanilla.  I cut the ornament out of the top layer of very vanilla using the Holiday Ornaments Framelits and then embossed it with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  I layered a piece of Be of Good Cheer dsp behind the cutout.
My greeting is stamped in versa mark and embossed with cherry cobbler powder using the Sassy Saslutations stamp set.  A little cherry cobbler seam binding finishes it off.

Witch's Boot

I love, love, love this boot so decided that I needed some Halloween cards made with it.  My base is Rich Razzelberry, layer 2 is basic black, layer 3 is rich razzelberry embossed with the spider web folder.  My boot is stamped on whisper white with versa mark and then embossed in black powder.  I sponged the edges with tangerine tango and then mounted it on old olive.  I used my blender pen and ink pads to color the boot with old olive, tangerine tango, tempting turquoise and rich razzelberry.  A little bit of black polka dot scalloped ribbon finishes it off.

PCCSS001

This is my newest grandbaby.  Sweet little Miya. She lives in Okinawa Japan so I haven't met her in person yet.  I stumbled across Paper Craft Crew and found that they have a scrapbook page challenge and was excited to participate.  I used the Razzleberry Splash simply scrappin kit to do her first scrapbook page.  Let's just hope I can keep up with 3 different books now.

Engagement pages

This is my first attempt using MDS2+ to scrapbook.  It was fun playing with all of the features available now.

Wedding Card

My daughter is getting married Oct 5th and she has been bugging me to do some invites for her Rehersal Dinner.  We looked through the catalog and ran across Embellished Events stamp set.  I used versamark to stamp the images and then embossed with melon mambo powder, added a couple of jewels and some melon mambo card stock and she loved them.  That's one more item that can be checked off the list.  I am excited for her, but will be glad when the big day is finally here.

Sept Team Challenge

This month for our downline meeting we were given half a sheet of black card stock, a piece of Natural Composition Specialty paper and a button from the Naturals Designer Buttons pack.  We had to come up with a card using these materials.  I cut flowers with the Fun Flowers Bigz die using Raspberry Ripple and Perfect Plum cs.  I then embossed the flowers using the fancy fan folder and the Lacy Brocade folder.  I sponged the edges of the flowers and then added some Perfect Plum 3/8" taffeta ribbon.  I tied some basic black 1/8" taffeta ribbon in my button for my flower center.  The greeting is Itty bitty Banners stamp set stamped in black stazon and then cut with the Bitty banners Framelits.
